Starting with step 3, if you are signed up for preventative grub, our experts will come to your property to apply a preventative lawn treatment to control grubs. This granular application passes through to the soil, creating a barrier which then works to stop the grubs before they have a chance to start.
While preventative treatments are the most effective for newly-hatched grubs, they will not help stop grubs that are already feasting on your lawn. In those case's you will need a curative application. Curative or post-emergent grub controls, will eliminate the active grubs in the lawn...BUT NOT THEIR DAMAGE. Not only does it cost more to put down a curative application than a normal preventative grub application due to chemical costs. Once the grub are dead the damage remains which often requires either heavy aeration and seeding, or sometimes dead sod removal and soiling and seeding. ALL THIS CAN BE COSTLY.
